Hikaru Yokomi is a leader with more than 35 years of experience in the factory automation (FA) and industrial control equipment industries. Most recently, he served as Director at the Japanese subsidiary of a major German Automation company, where he expanded the industrial networking business and built a strong foundation for control cybersecurity and Manufacturing-X business.
At OMRON Corporation, which he joined in 1988, Hikaru held various key positions over a 30-year career and gained a total of 11 years of overseas assignment experience across four countries in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. As Managing Director of the Thailand subsidiary, he drove organizational growth. During his assignment in Germany, he led the early launch of new products through strategic alliances with European companies.
Hikaru graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Tokushima University and completed an MBA at Doshisha University Graduate School. With both technical expertise and management capabilities, Hikaru joined Advantech in 2024. Leveraging his global experience, Hikaru will drive growth strategies rooted in Japan's business culture and lead the organization to become a more agile and professional team.
